yala
about

a small team that ships music tools.

we’re a small team that makes tools we’d want to use ourselves — things for writing, recording, releasing, organizing. yala is the second we’ve shipped.

we started yala because the tools that exist for releasing music feel like they were built for label managers, not for artists. dense dashboards, jargon, agency aesthetic, paywalls on basic things. that’s fine if you have a label-services team. but if you’re your own manager, the tools should feel like your hands, not like a contract.

so we built one. it covers everything the big competitors cover (8 link types, 30+ DSPs, 22+ pixels, presave, custom domains, broadcasts, public API), and it does so with the voice of someone who likes records.

the founder is Yosef Gutman Levitt, a jazz pianist who also writes code. the team works carefully and ships when a thing feels right, not when a calendar says so.

yala is not vc-funded. we’re funded by paying customers and by the founder’s touring + studio income. that’s on purpose. it lets us build for the next decade instead of the next funding round.
